Terms of service
These terms cover your use of paymybillionaires.com and the Pay My Billionaires app (together, the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to them. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it.
What the Service is
People (“Requesters”) post bills they owe. Other people (“Patrons”) may choose to pay those bills as a gift. Every payment goes directly to the company that issued the bill (the “Biller”). Requesters never receive cash. We are a platform that connects the two. We are not a bank, a lender, a charity or a debt-relief service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract. You may only post bills that are genuinely yours and that you’re legally responsible for.
Posting a bill
- Everything you submit must be true and accurate. Submitting a fake, altered, or someone else’s bill is fraud. We will remove it, ban you, and may report it.
- Black out account numbers and your home address before you upload. We may redact anything else we think is sensitive.
- We verify every bill with the Biller and may decline any bill for any reason, including if we can’t verify it.
- Posting a bill does not guarantee anyone will pay it.
- You give us permission to display your first name, city, biller name, amount, due date, and story to Patrons, and to contact the Biller to verify and pay the bill.
- You can withdraw your bill at any time before it is paid.
Paying a bill
- Payments are voluntary gifts. They are not loans, investments, or purchases, and you receive nothing in return.
- 100% of the bill amount goes to the Biller. Card processing fees are shown separately before you pay.
- Payments are processed by Stripe and are subject to Stripe’s terms.
- Payments are generally non-refundable once sent to the Biller. If we can’t complete a payment (for example, the bill was already settled), we refund you in full.
- Gifts to individuals are usually not tax-deductible. Talk to a tax adviser about your situation.
- Patrons may not contact, follow, or ask anything of a Requester.
Not allowed
You may not post or pay bills for illegal activity, gambling, fines, bail, taxes, or anything listed in our Community Guidelines. You may not harass anyone, scrape the Service, impersonate anyone, or use the Service to launder money or evade sanctions.
Reporting and moderation
Anyone can report a bill. We review reports within 24 hours, and may remove content and suspend users at our discretion. Bills reported by multiple people are pulled from the deck until a human reviews them.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is”. We verify bills in good faith but can’t guarantee every detail a Requester gives us. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid through the Service in the 12 months before the claim.
Affiliation
Pay My Billionaires is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Elon Musk, X Corp., or any other individual or company named in the press.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we’ll give notice before it takes effect. Continuing to use the Service means you accept the update.
