Pay My Billionaires (“we”, “us”) runs paymybillionaires.com and the Pay My Billionaires iPhone app. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it. The short version: we collect the minimum needed to verify and pay a bill, we never sell your data, and we don’t track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

If you post a bill:

  • Your first name and city, which patrons see.
  • The biller’s name, the amount, the due date and the one-line story you write, which patrons also see.
  • A photo or PDF of the bill. Only our verification team sees it, and it is never shown to patrons.
  • An email address or phone number if you choose to give one, so we can tell you when your bill is verified or paid.

If you pay a bill: payments are processed by Stripe. We receive confirmation that a payment happened and the amount. We never see or store your full card number.

Everyone: basic technical logs (such as IP address and browser type) that our hosting provider keeps for security and to prevent abuse. The app stores a list of bills you’ve hidden on your own device.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t sell or rent personal information. Ever.
  • We don’t use advertising trackers or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
  • We don’t show patrons your last name, address, account numbers, or contact details.
  • We don’t let patrons contact you.

How we use it

  • To confirm a bill is real by contacting the biller.
  • To show your bill card in the deck once it’s verified.
  • To send the payment directly to the biller.
  • To tell you when your bill is verified or paid, if you gave us a way to reach you.
  • To investigate reports and keep scams off the platform.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed to do the job: the biller (to verify and pay the bill), Stripe (to process payments), and our hosting provider, Vercel (to run the service). We will disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

Bill images are deleted within 30 days after a bill is paid, rejected or withdrawn. Bill cards and payment records are kept as long as needed for accounting and fraud prevention, up to 7 years, unless you ask us to delete them sooner where the law allows.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your information at any time. Use the delete my data page or email privacy@paymybillionaires.com. We respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live (for example California, under the CCPA, or the EU and UK, under the GDPR) you may have additional rights, and we honor them.

Children

You must be 18 or older to post a bill or pay one. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn we have, we delete it.

Security

Everything is encrypted in transit. Bill images are kept in private, access-controlled storage that only our verification team can open.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, tell you before it takes effect.
